    What’s the first step if I decide I want to build with Murphy Homes?

    Get in touch with our Online Sales Counselor! They will be able to connect you with a Sales Professional that can walk with you through any potential floor plans or communities you’re interested in!

      How long does construction take from start to finish?

      A

      The construction process takes approximately 120 days from laying footers to closing. Including your design appointment and preconstruction, it takes about 6 months.

        Do I have to get preapproval before I reserve a lot?

        A

        It’s strongly recommended that you get preapproval before you reserve a lot. At least talk with your lender to get a general idea of what you might qualify for!

          What can I expect at my design appointment?

          A

          The first true step in your home building process, you’ll sit with our in-house designer to go over any and all customizations and upgrades you’d like in your house.

            Is my initial deposit refundable?

            A

            Yes! Our Murphy Promise allows you to receive your initial deposit back all the way until your preconstruction appointment. This guarantees
            you the most flexibility and reassurance when you’re exploring building a custom home.

              What if I still have a home I need to sell?

              A

              There are several scenarios where we can work with you if you’re facing a contingency – Bridge loans, delayed starts, etc. Please ask us about your options before starting!

                Do you have any incentives?

                Just ask! We have several revolving incentives for our inventory homes as well as pre-sale homes. We have an evergreen promotion for servicemen and women that gives you additional incentives to go towards your customizations.

                  Can we build a custom Murphy Home on our lot?

                  Murphy Homes does not build on your own lot, but we do build in several gorgeous communities across North Alabama, everywhere from Madison and Huntsville to Athens, New Market, Harvest, and Meridianville! If you’re looking to build on your own lot, please consider our sister company, Red Door Homes, an on-your-lot builder that services North Alabama and Tennessee!
